“I’m Sorry I Let You Down.’ is the newest addition to Hannah Robinson’s catalogue of songs.

Newcastle-based Hannah says that she channels her music through inspirations such as Arctic Monkeys, Warpaint and Beach House.

The track is what I would call earthy, in an enchanting way, not rocky, but rocky.
The lyrics are clearly telling a story, but I was mesmerised by the backing track.

There is a lot going on, but it’s not overwhelming, it works, this is hard to craft.
Hannah makes really good use of the guitar and drums, using them to create mesmerising sound effects, it starts soft and gets more intense as the track goes on.

Then it kicks it up a notch, but not overpowering, it shows off Hannah’s impressive range, the instrumental breaks are just the right length and as each bridge carries on, it keeps you hooked.

Going back to the lyrics, the storytelling aspect is beautiful, like a diary entry, but it brings it to life.

The length of the track is just right, I think any more it would have been a bit too much, any shorter would have been criminal.

The ending hears a little chant and repetition, before the last verse, with the abrupt end, not something I usually like, but with this track it works.

Hannah has been recognised by the likes of BBC Introducing, it’s clear to see why if her catalogue is as impressive as this track.

She’s one to watch.
