WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM PYLON POETS

‘Echoes of Desire’ is the newest release from Torquay based ‘Pylon Poets’.

What. A. Track.

If you like Linkin Park or Fall Out Boy, this is probably a perfect mould of their music with Pylon Poet’s own unique style blended into it.

I didn’t know what to expect with the beginning, it’s an eerie track, something you would hear on a Police Drama theme tune, and then, boom, it really kicks off.

The drumbeat is infectious and the guitar riffs changes the whole mood immediately, with a rockier more emotional output.
The vocals are very well suited to the backing track, deep, an easy listen.

There are a lot of switches in the tempo of song, which I would usually not enjoy, but Pylon Poets do it so effortlessly!

The only criticism for me is that the song is a bit too long, they do fill the space well with the backing track, I feel like a nice 3 minutes woulod have rounded it off nicely!

Either way, it’s a fantastic track and I’d be interested to see what the follow up will be.

The artwork also matches the mood, mysterious, eerie and alluring.

All in all, a good, well produced track, with a really strong backing track and plenty to keep you hooked – I would love to see it played live.
