Jelly Roll Joins Lana Del Rey For Duet Of “Sweet Home Alabama”

I’ve read that headline at least a half dozen times and it’s still not making sense. But it happened. And it was a heck of a lot of fun to watch!

Lana Del Rey headlined Friday night of the Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama and was joined by a few notable guests like Benson Boone for a rendition of his song “Beautiful Things” and Nessa Barrett “american jesus” but the clear show stopper was when Jelly Roll came out.

According to Consequence:

Taking the stage together, the two delivered a loose and lively rendition of the 1974 Southern anthem, with some ad lib interjections, like when Jelly Roll shouts “We love you Lanita!” For her part, Del Rey changed some lyrics, skipping over the “Southern Man” reference to remind the crowd that Neil Young “squashed that beef into the ground.”

Take a look at the performance below.
