AIN'T

Italian artist AIN’T boldly defies the norms with his latest album, “The Rope Springs Eternal”. This new release emerges as a politically incorrect anthem for alternative rock, metal, and grunge music fans.

The album kicks off with “Hope Springs Eternal” and the artist couldn’t have chosen a more surprising intro. We are greeted by a couple of old men singing what seems to be an Italian anthem. It feels like the kind of music we could hear in an Italian black-and-white movie. This fusion of unexpected elements creates an enthralling ambiance, leaving us eager for what’s to come. And also wonder how the album will take a heavy turn.

As the album progresses, tracks like “City of Mistrust” thrust us into the heart of alt-rock, with minimalist lyrics allowing the blistering guitar riffs to take center stage. True to the album’s essence, the song explores the darkest corners of society.

Following, “Future Underground” is a true standout track as it showcases AIN’T’s versatility. Indeed, the track seamlessly transitions between rock verses and grunge-infused choruses. It is like we are listening to two different tracks at once and “Future Underground” sure keeps us on the edge of our seats with its shifts.

Later on, tracks like “Mafia & Kindness” and “Spaghetti & Bullets” confront Italy’s cultural contradictions head-on, while “Feasting On Dead Cops” and “Crop Failure” are critiques of authority and corruption.

Lastly, closing out the album is “Dope Springs Eternal”, echoing the opening track. The use of harmonica is surprising, yet refreshing, and we find the same men’s voice as at the beginning. It brings the tumultuous journey of “The Rope Springs Eternal”, a true society commentary, to an end.

In conclusion, “The Rope Springs Eternal” is a fearless exploration of society’s current state, delivered with the ferocity and passion that only AIN’T can muster.
